Our Story

UniComm Media Group is a Greenville, South Carolina – based  Hispanic market consulting and advertising firm. We help companies connect to the Hispanic community through consulting, advertising campaign management and design, event management, marketing materials translation, public relations, graphic design, and web design. Our deep understanding, commitment, and ties to the Hispanic community, coupled with a thorough understanding of our clients’ products, enable us to effectively establish relationships between our clients and the Hispanic community.

UniComm was founded in 2009 out of a desire to help two types of clients. First, we seek to help Hispanic business owners achieve their maximum potential through their marketing programs and initiatives. We believe that a company’s brand, image, presence, and marketing initiatives are deserving of the utmost quality and attention, regardless of the size of the budget. Our objective is to deliver a product for our clients that will enhance the image of their organization and help them reach their market more effectively.

We also help non-Hispanic companies and organizations meet the ever-increasing demand for properly designing and implementing a marketing strategy tailored specifically for Hispanic consumers. South Carolina has experienced the fastest growth rate in the nation in terms of the hispanic population over the past ten years. A growing number of companies in South Carolina are identifying opportunities within this thriving market  and are actively looking for the best way to reach the Hispanic market. Our objective is to partner with these companies and help them tailor a marketing program that fits their needs and still reaches the Hispanic market.

Ramon Nieves

Chief Marketing Officer/Partner

As CMO of UniComm Media Group, Ramon provides the strategic and marketing expertise necessary to deliver a successful product to a client. He is constantly meeting and consulting with clients in order to make sure objectives are met. Ramon has lived in Greenville for seven years and has been active in the Hispanic community through the South Carolina Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where he served as Marketing Director.  Ramon has a bachelor’s degree in marketing management and has earned an MBA with a concentration in marketing. Ramon serves on the Greenville County Human Relations Commission and on the Michelin Development Corporation Steering Committee.

Gustavo Nieves

Chief Financial Officer/Partner

Gustavo brings to the company a unique blend of technology, political, financial, and operational experience. Before founding UniComm Media Group, Gustavo founded UniComm Computer Services where he serviced home and business computers and networks. After leaving Unicomm Computer Services Gustavo developed an Internet start-up. Gustavo monitors the company’s financials on a daily basis in the areas of pricing, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis. Also, Gustavo makes sure projects are completed on time, communication and organization within the company is maintained, and legal issues are properly addressed.

Gustavo is the Government Affairs Director at the South Carolina Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
